BRIANS POND LODGE

The Accommodation
The lodge consists of four guest bedrooms with two single beds in each room. Dining and sitting area, two bathrooms, showers and electricity. The kitchen is equipped with a propane stove and freezer. our cook will prepare hearty breakfasts and home-style meals each day.  Fisherman should bring their own sleeping bag and personal items. We provide pillows and washroom facilities such as towels, shampoo, soap etc.


Trout and salmon fishing at its best (Brians Pond)
Brian's pond is well known for its large brook trout. you'll have no problem finding a place to fish in those waters that are linked to miles of ,steady's ponds and lakes . We also offer access to several other rivers and ponds. some areas offer both good salmon and trout fishing, while other areas are just for trout fishing.


THE SEASONS, RESERVATIONS & DEPOSIT
For those who want to fish for both trout and salmon. The season for trout fishing begins in may and ends August 20th. Salmon fishing starts June 20th and ends August 30th. The first three weeks of trout fishing  will be mainly spin cast and trolling , but you should bring along a fly rod. Fly rods should be 8-9 feet long with floating lines and 6-8 pound tapered leaders.

You should confirm your reservation as early as possible. Fishing trips usually begin on sunday and end on saturday, unless you want to stay longer. If you can't arrange to arrive on sunday then we will arrange another day for arrival.

To confirm reservations the deposit is $100.00 per person

Guides play a very important part in our business and your vacation, so we will provide you with experienced and professional guides.

Come Prepared
Newfoundland temperatures may change quickly at times. You should bring some warm clothing and some light clothing as well. Also bring rain gear, insect repellent, sunglasses, hip boots, and chest waders for salmon fishing. Don't forget to bring your camera.

Air Canada and Canadian Airlines International operates air service to Newfoundland with connections available from all major centers in the United States and Canada.
By Car: Marine Atlantic provides year-round service between North Sydney, Nova Scotia and Chanel Port-au-Basque, Newfoundland (see map). We can provide you with a road map if requested.
